| 10. In January 2019, he resigned from the Indian Police Service after being removed as CBI Director. |
| 11. He was reinstated as CBI Director by the Supreme Court on 9 January 2019 before being removed again by the High Powered Committee on 10 January 2019. |
| 12. He stated that 'natural justice was scuttled' in his resignation letter. |
| 13. He is a retired 1979 batch IPS officer of the AGMUT cadre. |
