Career Highlights	Girish Maruti Ernak is an Indian Kabaddi player who got into the limelight for his performance as a defender in the left corner in the Pro Kabaddi League. Girish Maruti Ernak started his Kabaddi journey in 2005 when his physical training teacher recognised his passion for sports as Girish also used to play cricket in his school. Soon, Girish realised that he was more inclined towards Kabaddi and hence chose it as his career. Girish Ernak was part of the Air India Kabaddi team before he became part of the Pro Kabaddi League. In 2015, he was picked up by the team ‘Patna Pirates’ to play as a defender in the second season of the Pro Kabaddi League. In 2016, Girish was selected by the team ‘Bengal Warriors’ to play in the third and fourth seasons of the Pro Kabaddi League. In 2017, Girish represented the team ‘Puneri Paltan’ in the fifth and sixth seasons of the Pro Kabaddi League. He also served as the captain of the team in the sixth season. Considering his powerful performance in both seasons, he was retained by the team ‘Puneri Paltan’ in the seventh season of the Pro Kabaddi League. He represented the state of Maharashtra in the 65th Senior Nationals which were held in 2017-2018, and the Third Federation Cup (2018). In 2018, Girish Ernak represented the Indian Kabaddi team in a 6 nation Kabaddi masters series named ‘Dubai Kabaddi Masters’ which was won by India. In 2021, Girish was selected by the team ‘Gujarat Giants’ for the eighth season of the Pro Kabaddi League. In 2022, he represented the team ‘Bengal Warriors’ in the ninth season of the Pro Kabaddi League and had a successful tackle rate of 45% along with 300 career points in the tournament. He also received the ‘perfect player of the match’ while representing ‘Bengal Warriors.’ For the tenth season of the Pro Kabaddi League in 2023, Girish was selected and bought for 20 lakh rupees by the Mumbai-based team ‘U Mumba.’
