ControversyHis song, Parveen, made him face a lot of criticism by a columnist, Javed Chaudhary, for using a common Pakistani female name in an odd way. A girl then wrote to Chaudhary that she had stopped attending college because of the harassment caused to her by fellow male students by teasing her with Abrar's song. The matter was then taken to the Pakistan Supreme Court, which ordered Abrar to change the lyrics. In response, he said he would follow what the court says.
