Roundabout Theatre Company announced a Broadway revival of Eugène Ionesco's Rhinoceros, directed by Diane Paulus, for its 2026-2027 season. Tony Shalhoub is set to star alongside Tatiana Maslany and John Turturro. The production is reported to open in the spring.
On the Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson podcast, Shalhoub spoke openly about having a nervous breakdown early in his career, linked to career pressure and comparing himself to peers. He described being in poor physical and emotional health at the time.
Shalhoub was cast as a recurring guest star in CBS's comedy-drama Einstein, playing Jack Einstein, the father of Matthew Gray Gubler's character. The role reunites him with Monk creator Andy Breckman and executive producer Randy Zisk. The series is slated to debut at midseason 2027.
