Latest News about David Otorbi
Liverpool reportedly signalled readiness to meet Otorbi's release clause, which was reported at around €30m to £25m depending on the source. Valencia responded by triggering a three-year contract extension that reportedly raised his release clause to €60m. Liverpool scouts have also been reported as monitoring him ahead of the January transfer window.
Reports linked Newcastle with a possible move for Otorbi, though no transfer has been confirmed. He had made eight LaLiga appearances for Valencia this season and scored once. Any deal would require negotiations with Valencia.
Newcastle United sent scouts to watch Otorbi in Valencia's 2-2 draw at Racing Santander, where he came off the bench and scored his first league goal of the season. The club's interest was reported as part of its winter transfer planning. Valencia has him under contract until June 2028 after an extension signed in April 2026.
