Corgan publicly defended his long-standing friendship with Marilyn Manson, saying he personally did not believe Manson was guilty of the sexual and domestic abuse allegations made against him. He cited his Christian faith and a relationship spanning close to 30 years, and noted that fellow Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha is married to the twin sister of Manson's wife, Lindsay Usich.
Billy Corgan announced a September 2026 European tour of 'A Night of Mellon Collie and Infinite Sadness', the orchestral and operatic reimagining of the Smashing Pumpkins' 1995 album he composed with conductor James Lowe. The dates include two shows at London's Royal Festival Hall on 1 and 2 September, followed by performances in Antwerp, Paris and Madrid. The tour follows a sold-out seven-night run at the Lyric Opera of Chicago in late 2025.
Corgan announced a new television deal for his National Wrestling Alliance promotion, with its flagship program NWA Powerrr set to air on Comet TV beginning 1 May 2026. He framed the broadcast as a way to bring wrestling fans closer to the action.
