Latest News about Graham Linehan
The Metropolitan Police awarded Linehan £25,000 in compensation and an unreserved apology over his September 2025 arrest at Heathrow Airport. The arrest followed three gender-critical posts he had made on X, and the investigation into those posts had been dropped earlier.
His conviction for criminal damage to the mobile phone was overturned on appeal. Linehan thanked his legal team and the Free Speech Union after the ruling and accused police of taking sides.
Linehan was cleared of harassing transgender campaigner Sophia Brooks through a series of social media posts linked to an incident outside the Battle of Ideas conference in Westminster in October 2024. He was, however, found guilty of criminal damage to Brooks's mobile phone in the same case.
