Latest News about Lil Durk
A federal judge agreed to move Lil Durk's remaining federal case, which involves murder in aid of racketeering and a related firearms charge, to August 2027. The trial had previously been set to begin on October 5, 2026, and the postponement extends his time in custody, which has already lasted nearly two years.
A Los Angeles federal jury found Lil Durk not guilty on all counts in his murder-for-hire trial, which alleged he ordered a 2022 hit on Atlanta rapper Quando Rondo that killed a cousin. The verdict came after three days of deliberations, and the separate racketeering charges were not part of that trial.
Reports said Lil Durk's federal trial was approaching and that prosecutors planned to call multiple cooperating witnesses. The case stemmed from his October 2024 arrest and subsequent indictment in federal court in California.
A federal judge denied Lil Durk bail in his murder-for-hire case and ordered him to remain in custody pending trial. The ruling cited alleged violations of jail rules, including the use of other inmates' phone accounts and three-way calls.
