Amartya Bhattacharyya's Odia-language film Lahari, which he directed, won the Best Odia Feature Film award at the 72nd National Film Awards, announced by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The film, a 2025 release produced by Jhilik Bhattacharjee, was recognised as the finest Odia feature certified in 2024. Bhattacharyya said it was his second national award and the first national award for an Odia film.
