Cooper Lutkenhaus won the men’s 800 meters at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Toruń, Poland, becoming the youngest individual medalist in the history of the World Indoor Championships. At 17 years and 93 days old, he also became the youngest man to win a senior individual world medal, indoors or outdoors.
