Roger Frederick Wicker is an American politician, attorney, and Air Force veteran serving as the senior United States senator from Mississippi since December 2007[1][5].
He was appointed as a Republican to the U.S. Senate in 2007 and subsequently elected to the same position in 2008[1].
Prior to his Senate service, Wicker represented Mississippi's 1st congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1995 to 2007[1][4].
He served in the Mississippi State Senate from 1988 to 1995 and was a Tupelo City Judge Pro Tem from 1986 to 1987[4].
