Sumit Roy co-wrote the story for Neeraj Ghaywan's film 'Homebound,' which premiered in the Un Certain Regard section at the 78th Cannes Film Festival on 21 May 2025. The film, produced by Dharma Productions with Martin Scorsese as executive producer, received a 9-minute standing ovation from the audience and explores the lives of two childhood friends attempting to pass the Indian Police Service exam.
