| Alistair Murdoch McCoist, MBE, is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a striker and later became a manager and television pundit. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in Rangers Football Club history, holding the club's record for goals scored in all competitions (355) and league goals (251). McCoist was the first player to win the European Golden Boot twice in consecutive seasons (1992, 1993) and was Europe's top goalscorer in both years. He earned 61 caps for Scotland, scoring 19 goals, and is the fifth all-time goalscorer for his national team.
