Hem Singh Bhadana, former Rajasthan cabinet minister and BJP MLA from Thanagazi, passed away at age 59 due to cancer at Harish Hospital in Alwar. He had been battling cancer for six months, recently suffered a brain haemorrhage treated at Fortis Hospital in Gurugram, and was brought home five days prior to his death. His elder son Dhirendra Bhadana lit the funeral pyre at his ancestral village Kishangarh Bas, attended by ministers, former leaders, and Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma who expressed grief.
