Career

OverviewSheinelle Jones is a distinguished journalist and news anchor for NBC News. She began her career as a morning anchor and reporter at WICS-TV in Springfield, Illinois. She subsequently worked as an evening news anchor and reporter at KOKI-TV (FOX Tulsa), where she received awards from the National Association of Black Journalists and the Oklahoma Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. She then served as a co-host of FOX's Emmy Award-winning morning show Good Day Philadelphia for more than nine years. In 2014, she joined NBC News, initially as part of Weekend Today, and in January 2019 became a co-host of the third hour of TODAY. She is currently the co-host of Today with Jenna & Sheinelle, the fourth hour of Today, and serves as host of Wild Child, an educational nature program on NBC's The More You Know block. She also co-hosts the weekly radio show Off the Rails on Sirius XM with fellow TODAY show co-hosts Al Roker and Dylan Dreyer. Throughout her career, she has interviewed notable political figures including then-Senator Barack Obama, then-Senator Hillary Clinton, and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, as well as celebrities including Halle Berry, Kevin Hart, John Legend, and Celine Dion.
