2. Shailesh Puntambekar served as a Junior Resident in General Surgery at Sassoon General Hospital in Pune from 1986 to 1987. In 1987, he was promoted to the position of Senior Resident in General Surgery. He served in the position till 1988.
3. In 1988, he began working as its Chief Resident in General Surgery.
4. Shailesh Puntambekar served as a Junior Registrar in Oncosurgery at Tata Hospital in Mumbai, India, from 1988 to 1990.
