2. During her school and college days, she actively participated in ‘Giddha’ (Punjabi folk dance) and drama.
3. Her career as a theatre artist began in 1975, and she entered the Punjabi Film Industry in 1980.
4. Sunita has acted in various Punjabi movies such as ‘Subedaar’, ‘Lalkara Jatti Da’, and ‘Toofan Singh’.
5. While pursuing her M.A., she declined an offer to work in Bollywood.
6. She is widely recognized for her portrayal of motherly roles.
7. Apart from movies, Sunita has appeared in Punjabi TV serials, short films, and web series.
8. Following a 14 to 15-year hiatus after marriage, she made a comeback in the Punjabi Film Industry with ‘Yaraan Naal Baharaan’.
