Sukhwinder Singh is an Indian playback singer who primarily sings Bollywood songs. He learned music from Prof. BS Narang and started his professional singing career during his childhood years in Punjab.
He rose to prominence with the song 'Chaiyya Chaiyya' from the 1998 film 'Dil Se', composed by A.R. Rahman. He achieved worldwide fame after performing 'Jai Ho' in the acclaimed film 'Slumdog Millionaire'.
Along with 'Chaiyya Chaiyya', he has provided playback for seven of Shah Rukh Khan's songs. He has worked extensively with composer A.R. Rahman throughout his career.
