Shehbaz Sharif

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed the restructuring of the Livestock and Dairy Development Board during a high-level meeting on livestock sector reforms. He also ordered a strategy within one week for a livestock vaccine production plant at the National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC). The board is to be made more effective by bringing in private-sector experts.

Shehbaz Sharif renewed his call for dialogue with the opposition, saying the government was ready for meaningful talks. He framed the offer as part of a broader effort to strengthen Pakistan’s economy and democratic stability.

On Pakistan’s Independence Day, Shehbaz Sharif sharply criticized India over its suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty. He said Pakistan’s water was a red line and warned of a direct response if India did not change course.

Shehbaz Sharif called for swift implementation of decisions reached during his visit to China the previous month. He urged expanded cooperation under the next phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and follow-up on agreements signed between companies from the two countries.
