Flyadeal expanded its India network with a Mumbai to Riyadh service adding more than 7,400 monthly seats. Kapoor said India was a strategic priority for the carrier, while noting it was too early to decide on operations from Navi Mumbai International Airport.
Kapoor told Skift that flyadeal would move beyond its point-to-point model by adding connecting flights with origin-and-destination fares. The airline also planned a premium economy product on its A330neo widebody aircraft and longer-haul expansion.
Flyadeal announced daily non-stop flights between Riyadh and Hyderabad from 1 July 2026, its first scheduled service to India. Kapoor described India as a key part of the Saudia Group and flyadeal long-term strategy, with a second Indian route to follow.
Flyadeal, the budget subsidiary of Saudia, announced that CEO Steven Greenway had stepped down at his own request, with him staying on as an adviser through the end of 2026. Sanjiv Kapoor, Saudia's Executive Vice President of Strategy, Transformation and Sustainability, was appointed interim CEO while a permanent successor is sought.
