Safeer Karim is an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre (2015 batch) who was arrested for cheating in the UPSC Civil Services (Main) Examination in 2017.
Originally aspiring to become an IAS officer, he secured All India Rank 112 in the 2014 Civil Services Examination but later faced legal issues for using high-tech devices to cheat in the 2017 Mains exam.
He runs an IAS coaching institute and was a CAT topper before entering the coaching field.
