| 4. Ravinder Gosain was shot dead by two masked assailants on a Honda Stunner motorcycle while sitting outside his house with his grandchildren after returning from morning RSS Shakha activities. |
| 5. He was shot twice in the head and back at close range and died on the spot on 17 October 2017. |
| 6. CCTV footage captured the assailants in the area since 6:30 AM and their escape after the incident, but they were never identified. |
| 7. Gosain had never received any threats prior to the incident according to his family. |
| 8. The case was transferred to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on request of the RSS. |
