Ramesh Bais, an Indian politician, became 23rd Governor of Maharashtra on 12 February 2023.
He served in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 1980 to 1985.
Bais also held the positions of Governor of Tripura (2019) and Governor of Jharkhand (2021).
He started his political career at 32 as a councillor of Raipur’s Municipal Corporation.
Bais represented the Raipur constituency in the Lok Sabha from the 9th to the 16th term.
