A Lucknow court sentenced cannibal serial killer Raja Kolander alias Ram Niranjan Kol and his accomplice Bachhraj Kol (also known as Bakshraj or Vakshraj) to life imprisonment plus Rs 1 lakh fine each in a 2000 double murder case. They were convicted for the abduction and murder of journalist Manoj Kumar Singh and his driver Ravi Srivastava (or Ravi Srivastav) in Lucknow's Naka area. This marks Kolander's second life sentence, following his 2012 conviction for the murder of journalist Dhirendra Singh; he showed no remorse in court.
