Pratap Singh Khachariyawas demanded compensation of Rs 1 crore and government jobs for the children of laborers who died in a sewer-cleaning accident in Jaipur. He also criticized the BJP government over the incident and warned that Congress would protest if officials were not punished and the demands were ignored.

The Enforcement Directorate conducted raids at residences and other premises linked to Pratap Singh Khachariyawas in connection with the PACL investor fraud investigation. The probe was part of a wider money-laundering case tied to the alleged Rs 48,000-crore scam, and Khachariyawas denied the allegations as politically motivated.
