Career

Served as a judge for the Sessions and District Court in Jammu and Kashmir in the late 1960s.
Presided over the trial of Maqbool Bhat for the murder of police inspector Amar Chand in 1966.
Handed death sentences to Maqbool Bhat and another individual in August 1968.
The Supreme Court upheld the decision in 1982, leading to Bhat's execution on 11 February 1984 at Tihar Jail.
Served at the Jammu and Kashmir High Court.
Retired in 1984.
