Won gold medal in men's freestyle 74 kg at 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, defeating Richard Brian Addinall of South Africa in the final.
Won gold medal in freestyle 74 kg at 2010 Asian Championships.
Earned silver medal at 2011 Commonwealth Wrestling Championship in Melbourne, losing the final to Cleopas Ncube of Canada.

1. At just 13 years old, he began wrestling training with his brother, Vinod Yadav.
2. During the 2012 Olympics, he suffered a loss in his first bout to Matt Gentry from Canada and was eliminated from the tournament.
3. In 2012, the Maharashtra State Government appointed him as the Deputy Superintendent of Police.
4. Following his Bronze Medal win in the 2014 Asian Games, Yadav received a reward of Rs. 25 lakh from the Uttar Pradesh government.
